HOLY SHIT IT’S SEASON FOUR! Can you believe it’s season four already? This season there are going to be a few changes. Kaarina won’t be joining us for Self-Care Corner, meaning I’m on the lookout for new segment ideas, plus I’m moving to a fortnightly release schedule. It’s all about sustainability, baby! Plus this season we have a theme, and that theme is, cool feminists in and around Vancouver. If you’ve got guest suggestions, let me know! And in exchange, I will let you know about these links:
- A lot of my thinking about relation to place in this episode was inspired by Amy Fung’s book Before I Was a Critic I Was a Human Being, which is working through a lot of these same questions.
- I also have in mind writer and photographer Hiromi Goto’s excellent Twitter feed, which features regular photographs of local flora and fauna with the caption “A little beauty, every day.”
- Would you like to know more about whose territory you’re living on? This site is a great place to start!
The podcast theme song is “Mesh Shirt” by Mom Jeans off their album “Chub Rub.” Listen to the whole album here or learn more about them here. Follow me @hkpmcgregor and tweet about the podcast using #SecretFeministAgenda.
Secret Feminist Agenda is recorded and produced by Hannah McGregor on the traditional and unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
